I replaced coolant bypass valve on 2013 Ford Escape. Opened drain plug bottom of radiator then replaced valve and reinstalled drain plug. Attempted to use Maddox vacuum but can't get any pressure built up on the gauge. I am assuming I am missing something very simple, but can't figure out why it isn't vacuuming. Rechecked drain plug and valve but don't see any issues with them. I mean there is no vacuum what so ever that will even move the needle. Instructions mentioned may be necessary to close overflow hose, but I was unfamiliar with this.

When you started this, was there coolant in the engine? Currently my car has coolant in it, but I believe there is air in the system. I just want to vacuum the air out of the system.

I sealed mine in with silicone sealant after the first set of replacements fell out in no time. That worked. I even went around the outside with a bead so it couldn't leak around the outer joint. They will come right out in the future.

Way more involved than just mass. Epi are junk and you’ll find out why. Guaranteed top end loss due to loss of mass and loss of length of push vs travel. All of those are the wrong setup for what your trying to do. It’s too bad people tried to Counterfeit my setup, so I quit. They would have gained you an easy 4-5 mph in 300 feet.
